Yoga Sutra Shala is a unique and homely yoga retreat centre located in the beautiful Vall de Gallinera in the Valencian Community of Spain.
Our yoga students come to us from all around the world - as do our team members - which contributes well to the friendly, open-minded and positive environment that we wish to nurture here.

During your time with us you could...
lots about yoga, meditation and pranayama by attending regular classes at the retreat.There are also opportunities to practice speaking Spanish with some of the locals if you're interested in learning.
during your time off: The experience of living in a beautiful valley in a traditional village with lots of opportunities for mountain hiking is too good to miss! The exciting and historical cities of Valencia and Alicante are both an hour and a half away.For some beach time you can visit the coastal towns of Denia and Oliva, just half an hours drive from the retreat.
your rest time either at the retreat or at the team-shared accommodation in a lovely house, 10 minutes walk from the retreat centre.
We ask you to stay with us for a minimum of 12 months
and our preference is that you have some experience in preparing plant-based meals as well as a good understanding of the philosophy of yoga.
The retreat centre is open throughout the year.
Retreats run from Sunday to Friday and we have an average of 12 retreat guests.
Teacher Training courses run for 4 consecutive weeks, for a maximum of 8 trainees.
All events are conducted in English - though Spanish is also spoken here.
Team members each work around 30 to 40 hours per week and have 2 days off work every week
to rest and recuperate. There are also whole weeks off during the year.
In return we provide your full-time accommodation and while the retreat is open, your organic, plant-based meals and a modest allowance which you can easily save if you want to.

Ideally you are responsible, reliable and personable;
you are a people's person, you like to communicate with guests, you are flexible, you can adapt to various situations and you are a problem solver.
A reasonable level of spoken Spanish would be a bonus
but is not essential.
Ideally you are a newly qualified yoga teacher with experience in food preparation and you have regularly practised yoga for
at least 2 years, so that you have an understanding of
the ethos of yoga and the discipline that it involves.
